Thanks to the fact that I am not afraid to promote myself every chance I get this is what happened to me this week:
- Got a killer testimonial for Prograde Varsity Post-Workout drink from one of the editors at Men's Fitness.
- Proceeded to use that testimonial in about 25 different ways to grow the business.
- Pitched an article idea to other media that should land a windfall of publicity.
- Had one of the biggest names in fitness approach ME with a multi-million dollar idea.
- As per usual, made money in my sleep
- Was asked to write a book (believe me, this is huge)
- Got testimonials and personal thanks from fellow fitness pros who's lives I have helped immensely.
Not a bad week, right?
And you do know that about this time four years ago nobody knew my name, right?
So what have you been doing this week? How many things have you done to promote yourself? Who have you contacted? What articles did you write? Who did you contact about speaking engagements?
The difference between those at the top and everybody else is simple. The cream of the crop takes action.
They don't care what other people are going to think.
They don't care about making mistakes.
They don't worry that it's "not the right time."
They just go out and do it.
And before you know it everybody knows THEIR name.
And before you know it everybody wants to work with THEM.
