Shovels big bux into your retirement fund

I get a kick out of people who tell me they don't believe in competition.

I'm guessing they've been snorting to much Prosperity Dust from the Abundance fairies.

Yes, I believe in Abundance.

You know I believe in Prosperity.

But are you going to tell me Coke wouldn't love to take over Pepsi's market share?

Yes, all sorts of large corporations partner together.

But they still compete with one another.

Do people have unlimited dollars to spend on everything and anything?

No.

Are the large health club chains thrilled so many of the good fitness professionals are leaving to start their own business?

I'll assume they'd be much happier if you weren't.

Competition is real.

Competition is fierce.

Competition can put you out of business and seriously screw up the plans you had for your life.

And if you aren't super freaking competitive I suggest you stick with a JOB because you'll be in way over your head.

If you're going to step in this arena you'd better come to play.

This is a game. And it can be a brutal, unforgiving game.

Bring your best. You're going to need it.

Still love ya.

Yours in prosperity,

Jim Labadie

Blesses you in disguise

I'm originally from North Jersey, so I can't lie and tell you I'm the most patient person on the planet.

But I also work on it because, yes, it is a virtue.

For awhile now I've been saying I need a new computer. Probably for a month or two.

Last Friday my computer did me the favor of becoming completely unusable.

The old me would have completely stressed out and flew off the handle.

But fortunately, the new me saw it as a giant blessing. It forced me to get a new computer.

And that will automatically make me more productive. Which, in turn, will allow me to:

a - help more people

b - make more moolah

You can find good and bad in everything.

Choose to see the good.

Proves what we expected all along

I was reading Bedros Keuilian's newsletter the other day and watched a great video he included.

I've been saying this for years now:

People are much more concerned with what they look like naked than with their health.

You might not like it, but it's very much true.

Watch the video proof from The Today Show at:

http://tinyurl.com/5lx5fa

Does your marketing reflect this? Or do you listen to the ridiculous industry associations who tell you to market health benefits?

Look, if you REALLY want to make moolah AND help a lot of people you need to be telling people your program is going to help them melt fat off their belly, butt, hips and thighs.

That is what the majority of people WANT.

And it is certainly what they will PAY for.

Help people look better naked. They'll get the health benefits as a result.

Just hide the medicine in their apple sauce.

Who loves ya? ;-)

Blogs that kick butt and make moolah

I wanted to share this with you because I think it's just too important to ignore.

Blogs are NOT the future.

They are the HERE and NOW.

I've been planning on revamping mine for months now.

I plan on getting it done this June.

The freebie stuff just doesn't cut it compared to some of the other amazing solutions out there now.

My friend and fellow fitness pro, Scott Tousignant, is THE guy I turn to anything blog related.

We recently introduced our Trainers Inner Circle members to Scott and he very kindly explained the difference between the blog software he uses and the freebies, WordPress, etc.

Pretty amazing stuff. Give it a good read.

****

http://thei360blog.com is like having a Wordpress blog on the strongest steroids out there. It contains the best Wordpress pluggins plus a boat load of extra add ons.

For example...

Whenever you create a post on your blog it automatically submits to many social bookmarking sites. This alone saves me hours each week and helps boost your site in the search engine rankings.

Whenever you add a podcast to your blog post it automatically submits to iTunes, Podcast Alley, iPodder, and more.

I am beta testing the TubeMogul pluggin where when you add a video to your blog post it automatically submits to YouTube, Revver, and other video sites.

They are continuing to add great tracking and stats to the system as well.

You can create as many squeeze pages and sales pages as you wish within the blog i360 site. One of the cool functions that I'm playing around with now is having a home page oto.

So when someone visits my blog for the first time I give them an irresistible free offer to sign up for. They will never see that offer again. Any time they visit my site after that they will just see my homepage which displays a recent video, article, free offer, and resource link.

I can create as many one time offer pages throughout my site. So if you want to offer your bootcampers a special to sign up for your camp and you only want them to see it once you just send them to that oto page within your blog.

The best part... this is all pushbutton easy.

I'd be more than happy to do a quick walk through webinar to show everyone what to expect. It would have to be a live webinar.

When it comes to writing blog posts, it's the same as wordpress. So it's not complicated. But you get all the search engine benefits of the http://thei360blog.com site.

It's mind blowing what this software does and it's been responsible for the majority of my success.

I had regular wordpress blogs and blogger blogs before and never got ranked. This was instant rankings with http://thei360blog.com

Saturday inspiration you do not want to miss

Saturday inspiration you do not want to miss

Please keep sharing your stories with me. There are other fitness professionals out there who really want to read them.

There are good trainers in tough financial spots who really need an encouraging word.

Here is your Saturday inspiration!

********

"Hi Jim,

Your words are inspiring and you have been a huge help in making things happen!

I have been in graduate school for the last 4 years and finally graduated this April.

I have been studying acupuncture and will be specializing in sports injury and muscular-skeletal pain.

The BIG VISION is a huge holistic center that incorporates alternative medicine/nutrition, etc and fitness.

In February, I started feeling panicked about what I was going to do for money after I was out of school, as no matter what type of healthcare practitioner you are, it takes a long time to create a strong client base.

Since I have been in the health and fitness industry for quite some time, as well as previously being a professional firefighter for the City of St. Paul, I decided to put together a youth conditioning camp for this summer.

Well, word spread like wildfire and I now have a full class (20 kids). I got insured, met with a lawyer and created a business.

That gave me some serious momentum and I thought "what the heck"....may as well try adding adult boot camps!

The response has been overwhelming! I will fill my first boot camp up this week (20) and am on the road to adding a whole new session of 20 more people.

You would not believe the enthusiasm! The park is reserved, I have found all sorts of exercise balls, medicine balls, body bars, etc. on craigslist.com and I am gearing up for a very busy summer!

Oh yeah, I will deposit about $8000 in the bank by the end of June.

Sweet. Working an average of 2 hours a day. Nice. Working on getting a website set up too.

I am excited to build a community base around myself and in turn, help people, motivate people, and inspire people. Your emails have been such great encouragement and I look forward to being a part of your sports related community.

Thanks so much!"

What is boot camp island

This is too cool.

I'm often asked by people from all over the world - thanks to the Internet - if my products will work in their neck of the woods. Oftentimes they wonder if boot camps will go over as well in their country as they do in the United States.

Well, here's a story to answer that one.

"Hi Jim,

I do not write to you often but I always read your emails. The last time I purchased (http://HowToProfitWithBootCamps.com) and I listened to the informations almost everyday for about a month until I felt I was confident.

As you may know, I am a fitness instructor in Mauritius. I decided to launch Fitness Boot Camp here in Mauritius and Bingo ! I got 13 clients registered.I started the camp on Monday 12th May and will last until 6th June. I am doing 3 sessions of 1 hour each, three times a weeks for four weeks.

Yesterday I received emails from people who joined the camp, complimenting me on the organisation as well as how professional I was due to the fact that all the exercises were tailored to everybody's fitness level..So, everybody was happy and they are looking forward for the next session !

I would like to say a big thank you for the incentive you give me and YOU deserve all the compliments. So, on behalf of all my clients, THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY,PATIENCE AND BRILLIANT IDEAS JIM !"

Blows you away

Ok, so I just got done watching the American Idol finale.

Both of the final contestants are extremely talented.

Both of them put everything they had into the contest.

Both of them are living their dream.

Both of them are extremely passionate about music.

And that is what I wanted to write you about as soon as the show ended.

I want the crazy passionate ones in my camp.

I want people who have that intense desire to go all out after greatness.

You do, too.

Your passion for greatness and helping people needs to be an obsession - an all out obsession.

An obsession that the ordinary, everday Joe and Jane just doesn't "get."

My buddy Brian Grasso is one of those guys. He's an all-out freak when it comes to his passion for the Youth Fitness and Conditioning arena.

And I mean that in the most positive way you can imagine.

He's driven to change things. His IYCA organization is filled with fitness pros as intense as he is.

If you want to work in the youth conditioning field in any way then you need to know Brian Grasso and what he is up to RIGHT NOW.

If you haven't already, be sure to see what they are up at http://iycalaunch.com/

One millyun trainers - and that's no BS - are hearing about his latest program. But only 500 are getting their foot in the door first.

Be one of them.

Creates success 90% of the time

As a fitness pro there's a very good chance you're familiar with the 90% compliance rule.

Basically, if you follow a exercise and nutrition program 90% of the time you'll be super successful.

I had some thoughts about that:

1) It really does a great job of preventing people from becoming overwhelmed.

I think ONE of the reasons people fail at most anything is because they feel like if they're not perfect 100% of the time they've ruined their chances for success.

They never realize the fact they are so uptight is the reason they fail.

2) It applies to business as much as it does to fitness.

If you created a plan for financial success and followed it 90% of the time I bet you'd be a lot better off a year from now than if you had NO plan.

3) It reminded me to share with you a story from trainer Dave Gleason about
http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com

"Thanks so much for http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com

As a 16+ year veteran in the fitness industry I have to tell you I am actually surprised at the results my subscribers and clients are having with your eBook. So much in fact, I have to tell you about one of them.

One of my clients in particular has literally done it all. He tried the South Beach approach - couldn't stick with it long enough to get results.

Then he went to a "high end nutrition expert" who is also an MD. He had blood work done in addition to a complete profile of health history, current eating habits, goals etc. and what he got in return was a plan so complicated he had to worry about what type of lettuce he was eating in his salads!

Let's just say for very busy business man who works out at 5:30 am in order to get to the office on time - this diet plan failed before it even began.

This individual was and is doing everything right in terms exercise in an effort to lose those last 10 pounds. I introduced him to http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com less than 3 weeks ago.

To my utter amazement he is only 2 pounds away from his target weight already! In fact he dropped 4 pounds the first week! Moreover he has totally embraced
http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com and feels he can absolutely stick to it 90% of the time...forever.

Thanks for putting this eBook together, Jayson. It's great to know exactly where I can send clients and subscribers to get credible, truthful diet advice that works! You've just made my job easier!

Gratefully,

Jim, I was overtraining like crazy

In the summer of 1987 I was training like an animal to get ready for football season.

I didn't have any clue what I was doing, but I sure was working hard.

The weight room at Wayne Valley high school was open around dinner time three nights per week. And I was there religiously.

Night after night I was in there sweating my ass off in the hopes of gaining weight and getting stronger.

And in July I saw big results. I was feeling so proud about myself and the results I was getting.

My squat was going up...

My bench was going up....

Unfortunately Coach Keil - our head coach - never seemed to be around to see me busting my hump.

Not in July anyway.

Come August my gains started to evaporate. Not only was I not getting stronger, I was actually getting weaker.

I was 15 years old and had ZERO clue I was overtraining.

Nobody on the staff knew what they were doing. None of the other athletes seemed to either. We just did the 'big' lifts over and over and over.

It was near the start of triple sessions - yes, TRIPLE sessions, why have two when you can have three? - Coach Keil saw me struggling with a none too impressive weight.

"Looks like Labadie hasn't been doing much this summer", he said.

I wish I were making that up. Unfortunately, I can still hear his words ringing in my ears.

But the good news is times have changed.

The good news is there are professionals out there changing all this.

And tomorrow, you're going to see some of those changes.

Puts a smile on your face all day long

Here's another one.

How could I not share this?

****

Dear Jim,

I started my first "boot camp" today and it is because of you.

I am the lady that was in the Marine Corps. I live in a very small town of about 6,000 people.

A lot of people are elderly and on fixed incomes. They asked me if I could teach them at the hall in the Baptist Church. I agreed and it is more for charity work and for me to give back to God because of all of the blessings that I have in my life.

They can only afford between $3.00-$5.00 for a one hour class. Most of the people in the class are between 75 and 80.

I brought my CD with the music from the motion picture "Rocky." I told them to imagine themselves as strong and alive with vigor.

One of the participants is an old retired Marine. He was in Recon, and he was proudly wearing his Marine Corps cap.

I have to tell you that I could not believe how different those people were when they left the class. They stood up straighter and they acted so alive.

Jim, I got so much out of that class. When I left I was on top of the world.

I am also starting another class on Tues. and Thurs. afternoons. This class is geared more towards Moms. I can hardly wait to start that class.

Thank you so much for all of your ideas and especially your E-mails. I love your E-mails!

Sincerely,

Nancy M. Booth

Builds a business that lasts

This weekend I was reading Fitness Management magazine and learned all about customer Greg Justice's business.

Very impressive. In fact, I highly recommend you read how his business has been going strong for 22 years.

Read it here: http://tinyurl.com/6gz5bg

What struck me most was his emphasis on client retention.

When he got started his client load wasn't full, so he focused on retaining the clients he did have.

And 22 years later, he maintains that as his TOP priority.

You don't retain clients if you don't have great relationships with them.

You don't stay in business for 22 years unless you have great relationships PERIOD.

More advice from Donald Trump

More advice from Donald Trump

I seriously doubt Donald Trump knows how to build buildings.

The guy is one smart dude, but my guess is if you told him to put on a hard hat and get to work he wouldn't have a clue.

Sure, he might know some things about those luxury buildings with his name on them.

But he knows a whole lot more about creating the deals and branding the heck out of his name.

He does it because that's where the moolah is.

Technically, all the rest is outsourced.

Which brings us to you.

Are you SURE you want to be a business owner?

Are you willing to know more about the BUSINESS of personal training than training itself?

Look, if you'd be more comfortable with the hard hat on than the owner's hat that's fine. But you really need to decide so you can focus more.

Do you like investing your time and moolah in education like the http://PTWealthBuilder.com

Or would you much rather read another manual on program design.

Neither is right or wrong.

But they lead down to different paths.

Personal trainer business meeting strategies

Personal trainer business meeting strategies

This morning Jayson Hunter and I had an hour and a half meeting about our
http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com biz.

In 90 minutes we were able to create an entire video marketing strategy including:

- Creating the content

- Shooting the videos

- Adding the watermarks

- Uploading them to the video submission sites

- Which pieces would be delegated

- How they would be used in newsletters

- And everything else...

It took us 90 minutes to come up with the entire process.

Now we need only work through the checklist each week and it's done.

No guesswork.

No wondering who is going to do what when and how.

No missed opportunities.

Create it once and it's done forever.

What about you?

Need something done over and over and over.

Sit down and write out all the steps and put them in order.

Decide which parts should be done by someone else.

Best sales question ever

So there we were.

Across the table from me sat a very successful 32 year old woman.

Her career as a salesperson had become quite lucrative. And she was, in fact, a very good salesperson.

I'm sure this had her going into our meeting very confident that she'd have me doing some song and dance presentation in the hopes of her becoming a client.

I'm also sure her experience as a salesperson made her believe her ability to negotiate would come in handy when it came time to talk about our fees.

"So, tell me what you can do for me," is how she began our meeting.

My response?

"I'd love to tell you about all our programs, but I don't know where to begin. In fact, I'm not even sure which to present to you because you haven't told me what you want to do."

15 minutes later this very successful, very confident 32 year old woman was handing me a check for $1000.

"Is there anything you can do about the price," she asked weakly.

"I''m sorry, there's nothing I can do," I responded.

So how does an "Aw Shucks" silly ole personal trainer pull $1000 out of high-powered professional salesperson in just 15 minutes?

Well, when you know what I know it's pretty easy.

You can know, too.

"I used to sarcastically cackle when I would hear other successful trainers say that all it takes is a little persistence to land one good media contact that will take your business to the next level.

Then one day, we finally caught a break, and we made our first media connection.

It was a SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT piece with local Milwaukee NBC affiliate TMJ4 regarding the amazing success we had had with our corporate wellness program THE FAT LOSS FACTORY.

We were so excited about landing this segment and even more excited about the fact that the news team said they wanted us to contact them with any future ideas because they loved our story so much. We knew we had to show our appreciation in a BIG way.

This was just after I learned about Send Out Cards from Pat Rigsby, Nick Berry and Jim Labadie, so we sent out a special World of Teas Gift Basket (through the SOC system) to our media contact thanking her for everything she had done for us.

What was the result of this simple, thoughtful gift?

- 15 separate TV appearances since Dec 17, 2007

- 2 SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT Segments on NBC- One each for both our corporate wellness program and our boot camps

- 2 articles in the Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee: Initial corporate success and Freaky Fat Loss Halloween Workout

- Our own Get Sexy Milwaukee Segment on local NBC affiliate TMJ4 featuring the Get Sexy Milwaukee Transformation Contest

Essentially, we have positioned ourselves as the experts in our area and true fitness celebrities. Everybody knows us as the GET SEXY PEOPLE.

We now sound special gifts and thank you cards to all of our media contacts on a regular basis. We even had media training in our boot camps for FREE because we know what they will do for our business in the future (because they have done so much already).

One contact... one gift... endless possibilities ;)

Special thanks to Nick, Jim, and Pat for introducing SEND OUT CARDS to me. It has certainly turned out to be another one of those "no-brainers!"

Make Mother's Day Easy

Ok, so this isn't exactly about making Mother's Day easy. But it will make your life easier year round.

I'm not always the most organized guy in the world. I seem to thrive on pressure and chaos a bit too much.

But I do like my life easy. And I do always look for ways to save time when it comes to creating content.

One of the things I'm doing lately is writing a lot of press releases for http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com to help drive traffic.

And it's pretty easy because I recycle tips from Jayson Hunter and just rotate them around. Plus, I've got lots of my old press releases that I've been using.

I'm not reinventing the wheel every time. This is a case where it's ok NOT to be unique.

I just take good solid content and reuse it in different ways over and over and over.

You should be doing the same.

That's why tips in bullet point fashion are so awesome. They can easily be reworded and recycled.

Who loves ya? ;-)

Yours in prosperity,

Jim Labadie

PS - Here's one of my recent newsletters that will also make your life easier:

I'm pretty certain you're well aware of the 100 Calorie Snack craze.

100 Calorie Snack Packs of chips, cookies, candies...

Like it or not, it's brilliant marketing/packaging.

But it doesn't do much to help your clients and boot campers with rapid fat loss.

That's why Jayson Hunter and I are making available to you one of the bonuses from http://The-Carb-Rotation-Diet.com

It's our 100 Calorie Snack Report.

You can use it to give as a free bonus to your:

- Clients

- Boot Campers

- Info product customers

We give you full rights to do with it what you want when you give it away as a no cost bonus.

BUT you cannot sell it on its own.

It's a short and sweet guide that lists out snacks that are either "approved" and can eat any time. Or "occasional" snacks that should be eaten, obviously, only on occasion.

You can download your copy, including digital images, here:

Summer Marketing for Personal Trainers

Most personal trainers see a drop off in revenues during the summer.

And while some see it as a reason to panic, astute fitness professionals know it is the perfect time to spend working on marketing.

There are many activities trainers can partake in to grow their business during the lazy days of summer.

The following personal trainer marketing strategies are a must for anyone serious about their business:

1) The List of 100

Everyone knows at least one hundred people. Create a list of everyone you know. And then list the people they know.

Your job is to contact every one of these people by phone over the course of the summer and explain to them what your business is all about.

It's pretty amazing that most times family members and friends don't even know what a personal training business is. Never mind how to refer people to it.

So educate everyone you can think of on what it is you do and who you do it for. Paint a picture to them of your perfect client. And don't be afraid to ask for referrals.

2) Sphere of Influence

Your List of 100 should include leaders in your community and successful business owner. Take each one of them out to lunch. Pick their brain.

What made them so successful?

How can you help their business or cause?

How can they help you?

Be sure to pick up the check and send them a thank you card.

The more influential people who know you and your business the better.

3) Explore New Networking Groups

Many networking organizations are a great source of referrals. And most allow you to attend two meeting before having to pay to join. Explore all the options in your community. Make sure your target market attends the meetings.

Even if you already belong to a group be sure to use the downtime you have in the summer to get your name out even more. You could even make a special summer offer on your services to members of these groups for an injection of cash into your business.

4) Join Toastmasters

Personal trainers - at least those who want to be successful - need to be good public speakers. Toastmasters International is a great place to hone your speaking skills. And you might even find some clients there.

Additionally, set aside time to line up speaking engagements some for fall. Public speaking is a terrific way to market your business. It's much easier to sell to a large audience than one person at a time.

5) Create a Blog

Standard websites are almost becoming obsolete. Blogs are the here and now. They get terrific search engine rankings and will do a great job of driving prospects to you.

In fact, take the entire summer to learn the new landscape of the Internet - Web 2.0. Technology is always changing and it's your job to keep up with how it will help your personal trainer marketing efforts.

Jim Labadie

The most important work you aren't doing

The most important work you aren't doing

As trainers we're taught to trade our time for moolah.

Train a client, get paid.

Which is one of the reasons I think trainers find it tough to start to work ON a business.

They aren't INSTANTLY getting paid for marketing, speaking, writing...

But sooner or later they see the results of those efforts in terms of cashola.

Plus, things like creating a website and writing an article require limited physical activity so it's easier for them to relate to.

The BIG challenge comes next.

And it has been a challenge for me, too.

It seems quite foreign that we would get paid the most moolah for doing nothing but thinking.

But that's the reality of being a business OWNER.

You make the biggest bux when you're thinking and planning.

And the fact you can do it at the beach or while working out or sitting in a library...

This can't be work, right?

You don't have a computer in front of you.

There's no client to help.

It almost makes you feel guilty because you feel like you're not doing anything.

But I assure you, those times are where the big boys and girls make the big bux.

Guys like Pat Rigsby and Alwyn Cosgrove have businesses that do 7 figures in revenues because they know what the most important work is. And they do it.

Lucky for you they teach it. If you want to do more planning and business building than training and trading your time for moolah then check out http://PTWealthBuilder.com

State of the Fitness Industry

The health of the World isn't exactly where we want it to be right now.

That's for certain.

But the great news is - to me anyway - the fact we're starting to have serious discussions about what it is really going to take to change things.

And I mean SERIOUSLY change things.

Yesterday I took the time out of my day to watch this short video on the State of the Fitness Industry. http://tinyurl.com/3n7gt2

I cannot recommend highly enough you watch it and post a comment with your thoughts.

Others are starting to FINALLY see just how important human emotions, beliefs and relationships are to the process of helping our clients and customers make the changes necessary to turn things around.

It's very encouraging. Seriously, watch the video and let your voice be heard. This is too important to ignore.

Makes it happen faster

Makes it happen faster

As you may already know, I was in Kentucky over the weekend visiting with Pat Risgby and Nick Berry.

Pat took a really cool picture of me with a statue of Colonel Sanders - of Kentucky Fried Chicken fame - on a bench. I'll have to get a copy and show it to you.

Now think what you want of the Colonel and his chicken.

You can blame him for being part of the reason everyone is so fat.

Or you could see him as a blessing, because thanks to fast food restaurants you're in an industry that shows no signs of slowing down.

And you've got to admire a man who was rejected something like 1000 times before he found investors willing to believe in him and his secret herbs and spices.

It sure didn't come easy for him.

But he sure didn't take no for an answer.

Some more chicken to chew on:

Have you ever gone to a fast food joint and marveled at the operation?

Or do you let your emotions get the best of you?

You might not like the food, but boy oh boy can these folks create a system.

While in KY I also got the chance to talk to literally one of the strongest guys in the world - AJ Roberts.

We had a great discussion about belief systems, critical thinking and emotions.

People never step back and question their beliefs.

They rarely take the time to think.

And most have their judgment completely clouded by emotion.

Oh, and if you're nodding your head in agreement with me right now, when was the last time you took an hour or two out of your life to get quiet and question everything you believe in?

I do it once a week.

Walt Disney taught me this

When I was at Walt Disney World last week I got the same fuzzy feeling I always get.

No, I wasn't fondling Donald Duck.

Everytime I'm there I'm just in awe of the place.

Carol and I were on the ferry that takes you from the parking lot to the Magic Kingdom when I told her what I always say to myself when I'm there.

"Ya know, this whole park, basically the whole city of Orlando, is all here because ONE man had a dream."

Make no mistake about it, the world belongs to the dreamers.

Well, the dreamers who take action that is.

And yes, for the most part, everyone else lives in THEIR world.

I want you to seriously think about that last sentence.

Read it again and again and again.

For the most part, everyone else lives in THEIR world.

Amazing, isn't it?

Lovin' life in South Florida. Hope you are, too.

Jim Labadie

PS - Have you started to PLAN your dreams? This will help: http://www.ptbusinessplan.com

As a trainer thinketh

I was talking to a buddy of mine in Tampa a few years ago after reading one of Richard Branson's books.

"How the hell did that guy get so lucky?", he asked me.

I don't know if you've ever read anything on Branson, but luck has little to do with his massive success.

More like brass you know what.

It was then I knew it was pointless talking about wealth with this particular friend.

We just think too differently.

And most people, this friend included, don't realize how powerful their thoughts are.

Now some people who saw the movie The Secret just took things too far.

You're not going to sit in a room and wake up one day to realize all of your dreams have come true.

Unless, that is, your dream was to sit in a room and do jack shi...

But you're not going to realize your dreams if you're not focusing your thoughts on them.

And I find it interesting that trainers, who I know are terrific coaches, will say things to themselves they would never in a millyun years say to a client or athlete.

I hear the word "can't" a lot.

I hear the word "try" a lot.

I hear plenty of bitching and moaning from trainers about how hard things are.

If you say you can't, you can't.

You don't try, you DO.

And the more bitching and moaning you do about how hard things are, the longer things are going to continue to be hard.

Be mindful of your thoughts.

Be mindful of your self-talk.

And if you think Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Oprah and every other absurdly successful person on this planet was "lucky", well, start buying lottery tickets, smoking Marlboro Reds and going for a six-pack after work each day because I can't help you.

But I'll still love ya.

Yours in prosperity,

Jim Labadie

How I won the Kentucky Derby

Well, I didn't really win it, but I am at the race.

And thanks to the magic of http://trainershoppingcart.com/ I was able to write this email on Wednesday to go out on Derby day.

Don't you love the way you can use technology to automate your business - and life?

I'm at the race with Pat and Holly Rigsby, and Nick Berry and his wife and Jayson Hunter and his wife. Of course Carol is here with me, too.

And that's why I'm writing you today. I'm at the Kentucky Derby with good friends and business partners because of the relationships we have built.

I've got two new businesses because of my relationship with these great people.

And as you may know already, Pat, Nick and I all use the Send Out Cards system to strengthen relationships.

We'd love for you to try the system for free, so you can see for yourself just how powerful - and simple - it is.

Here's what you do:

Send an email to LabadieBonuses@mindspring.com It will instantly reply with all the instructions.

Easy as pie.

Do it right now for two reasons:

1 - Send Out Cards helps build great relationships. And great businesses are built on those relationships.

2- Send Out Cards provides the powerful automation you want to help make your life easier.

The Anti-Gym

My buddy Nate Green - author of the upcoming book Built For Show from Avery Publishing - sent me this.

If you're easily offended, don't look.

If you're one of the politically correct, avert your eyes.

But if you want to see something unique...

If you want to see the type of attitude I talk about in my http://HowToGetMoreClients.com kit...

There's two main ways, as I see it, to be super successful.

Follow a proven blueprint already laid out for you.

Be incredibly unique.

And I mean unique like these guys: http://TheAntiGym.com

Warning: you might not like this site at all.

But...

...they tell it like it is. They know who they are and they aren't afraid to tell people what they think.

And personally, I think we need more trainers giving people a kick in the a**.

Who loves ya? ;-)

Yours in prosperity,

Jim Labadie
